Europa League 3rd Round Draw: Los Leones to Take on Young Boys

By: Paul | July 17th, 2009

So Athletic’s draw for it’s first Europa League matches has been made. In the third round of qualifying, they will be taking on Switzerland’s BSC Young Boys. The first leg will be played at San Mamés on July 30, and the second leg will be held at Wankdorf (yes, the name of their ground really is Wankdorf, which, translated from German means “Wank Village”) on August 6.

I was going to break down the opposing side and analyze them a bit. However, the Swiss league is kinda “meh” so I am confident as long as the team doesn’t get complacent and underestimate their opponents. Plus, the only things that I think are important about BSC Young Boys is that their team is called “Young Boys” and they play their home games at Wankdorf. Real intimidating.

Worse name for a team ever. No matter how you say it, it sounds dirty.

I admit that the spanish league is twice as good as the swiss one. but it’s not going to be that easy as you think.

    and by the way:
no offence, but “young boys” only sounds dirty to those with a dirty mind…
