Liveblog UEFA Europa League: Athletic Club vs. BSC Young Boys (Jul. 30, 2009)

Tomorrow at 2:30pm Houston time (that’s 3:30pm Eastern, 9:30pm in Bilbao) I’ll be here to liveblog Athletic’s first Europa League game. Athletic’s 18 players named for the game are as follows:
Iraizoz, Toquero, Koikili, Amorebieta, David López, Llorente, Yeste, Armando, Susaeta, Iraola, Orbaiz, Etxeberria, Gurpegi, Aitor Ocio, Castillo, Javi Martínez, De Marcos and Muniain

In the meantime, just post possible starting 11, predictions, etc.
I predict a 2-1 Athletic win. The Starting 11 looks something like this to me:

Because, they’re Athletic Club Bilbao. It’s not every year they get to compete in Europe. I do not expect them to go all the way, but I’m definitely rooting for it.

wait a sec so now Koi is a sub LB and Balenziaga a reserve? also where is Yeste, I’m happy to see Susaeta play but I could throw Lopez out and Yeste in also why is etxeberria starting?

Ah, my mistake with Yeste. As far as the back, I could see Koi at LB just as easily as Castillo, but I think Castillo’s got this one- same thing at RB. I definitely think Yeste will be in for Susaeta, though, and it’s possible Etxebe may play on the right and someone else will start up front.
