Very soon we will receive the full fixture list of la Primera. The first victims, I mean rivals will be crucial. Athletic needs to start well and build on last season’s momentum.

Eagerly awaiting the release of the fixture list, which is of course always behind the rest of the European leagues.

Will you be at the games here in England Elisa? Its great that Athletic are coming to England. I’ll be at both the Charlton and Colchester games wearing my red and white stripes! I hope my friends from Bilbao will make it over…

Dave you are sooooo lucky. With our crappy dollar, not sure if I can swing the trip this year. Please give us the low down on the games and whereabouts of our Leones while they are in your back of the woods and please report back here.
Corey, I too am dying to see the fixture list. Hopefully we will have it by the end of the month.

I’ve been lucky to see Athletic a few times now. The first time was for a pre-season friendly here in Liverpool when Bilbao played Everton - and won 1-0! I made some great friends that day who were over for the match. I’ve been over to Bilbao a couple of times since and they’ve come back to Liverpool. The dollar is pretty crappy and dragging the pound down as well (against the Euro). Do you follow the MLS at all? I’ve seen a couple of Toronto FC games and adopted them as my team over that way. After the Charlton and Colchester v Athletic games I’ll put a posting here…

Thanks Dave! It would great to get a live or virtually live experience post. Are you a Liverpool fan too? Very cool! TFC huh? They are having quite a good year. Very impressive for only their sophomore year. I support LA Galaxy and Chivas USA. LA Galaxy is my number one, but since I support the live game and soccer in the US, I also attend the Chivas USA matches. Especially since the prices are so cheap. Lots of Brits going to the Galaxy games here in the summer. How long have you been supporting Athletic?

I beleive so Paul. Club Deportivo Aluvion is in the Fourth division in Spain (Tercera technically) in Group 15. The club is from Navarra. Their stadium can only hold 3000 fans, so I don’t think it will be held their. I would check with the club to confirm. Athletic has a partnership with the club, shares knowledge, talent, education, etc. Good luck and enjoy!

Paul, it looks like the game will be at Aluvion’s stadium in Navarra. Good luck getting tickets in that small stadium. Let me know how it goes. Gora Athletic!

Elisa. Sorry for late reply! I’ve been following Bilbao for about 10 years, but a bit more closely since having a few holidays there in the last 5 or so and making friends there.
